Counseling

Mrs. Anna Roden

Welcome Hayley Tigers!  I am excited to be your school counselor this year!

I am from League City and graduated from Clear Creek High School.  I attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Reading.  I then continued my education by graduating from Texas A&M Kingsville with a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling.  A couple of years later, I attended Trinity University in San Antonio and earned my Master’s in School Administration.

I have been in education for 18 years and have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades, been a school counselor, and an assistant principal.  I love being an educator and watching our scholars grow and learn each and every day.

Here at Hayley, we have a comprehensive, developmental guidance and counseling program that includes four components:

Guidance- classroom and group activities that focus on personal and social development, academic achievement and career awareness

Individual Planning- counseling activities to assist students with planning, monitoring and managing their own academic achievement, personal/social growth and career development

Responsive Services- counseling or referral activities to meet the immediate needs of the students

System Support- indirect guidance management activities that maintain and enhance the total guidance program

I look forward to working with you and your children on their social and emotional growth to improve their success in school and all other areas of their lives especially during this uncertain, ever-changing time.  Go Tigers!!
